Dawford is an intimate water of about 2 acres situated in the heart of the countryside on the Staffordshire/Shropshire border. The venue is set up for exclusive weekly lake bookings running Monday to Monday. We allow a maximum of 3 anglers at a time and fishing is from our purpose built bivvy swims, two of which are located over the bridge on the island giving you a 360′ angling experience. There are 5 swims in all giving you the option to move throughout your trip or go stalking/prebaiting in other areas of the lake. There is a clean composting toilet and hot gas shower on site. Access is good as you drive off the country track through the locked gate onto the hard car park, the swims are just a small walk away.
The pool is home to some very enviable carp, with anglers traveling far and wide to catch its dark scaley inhabitants. With a stock of 80+ fish there are plenty of fish to go at ranging from mid doubles up to mid 30s. There really is something for everyone here, big deep commons, zip linears and fully scaled mirrors, the draw of its stock along with the tranquillity of the venue has lured some of carp anglings biggest names.
Dawford is a very intimate water and what works one week may not work the next, the key is to come openminded, fishing at close quarters and seeing the fish take your bait make Dawford a very exciting fishing experience.
The Local village pub is just a small walk away and can deliver meals to the lake.(check the current availability).
