Sutton is a 6 acre farm lake set in rural Shropshire, the lake was dug over 40 years ago and is well matured with reeded margins and over hanging willows. Sutton has a maximum depth of 11ft at the sluice end with a steady gradient towards the shallow end where you will find 6ft of water out in the middle, there are nice deep margins all the way round the fishery going underneath the overhanging vegetation meaning fish are regularly caught at close quarters. There are 15 purpose built bivvy friendly barked pegs, all separated by trees so you are never too far away from feeding fish and have your own area of lake to fish. Situated behind two sets of locked gates Sutton is a secure venue with safe parking, once parked access is via the path around the lake.
The fishery was originally setup as a carp syndicate and boasts a healthy stock of 150+ carp with a number over that special 30lb mark. We also have specimen sized Roach (current best 2lb15oz) and pure Crucian carp (current best 4lb2oz). Other species include perch which are the predominant species.
Primarily run as a carp syndicate with a maximum membership of 30 anglers. Membership is strictly on an interview basis with like minded conscientious anglers.
Specimen Hunter Sessions
This is a new venture for the fishery and we believe we have only scratched the surface of the lakes potential as only a small number of anglers have targeted these species. As a result we are now offering limited fishing for specimen anglers to target the Crucians (spring to Autumn) and roach (winter). Specimen hunter sessions are for 2 consecutive nights for 2 anglers, these are limited to a couple of sessions a month so you get a better angling experience, you will be able to fish any swims and move around the lake freely.
Sutton is a drive and survive type fishery with no bankside facilities.
